Dra. Gohar Petrossian

Biografía

La Dra. Gohar Petrossian es profesora asociada del Departamento de Justicia Penal, directora del programa de máster en delincuencia y justicia internacional del John Jay College of Criminal Justice y profesora de doctorado en el programa de justicia penal del Centro de Postgrado de la City University of New York. La Dra. Petrossian es una investigadora cuantitativa y científica del crimen, y su investigación se centra en el tráfico ilegal de fauna y flora silvestres, la cartografía espacio-temporal de los delitos contra la fauna y flora silvestres, y el análisis de redes sociales. La Dra. Petrossian ha publicado más de 30 artículos académicos y capítulos de libros sobre el tema del tráfico de especies silvestres y la pesca ilegal, no declarada y no reglamentada (INDNR). Es autora del libro The Last Fish Swimming: The Global Crime of Illegal Fishing, publicado en 2019. El trabajo de la Dra. Petrossian ha sido presentado por Global Fishing Watch, Yale University's Environment Review, National Geographic, PBS Nature y CUNY Newswire.
